Dhaka, Dec. 30 -- Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has submitted his nomination papers to contest from the Dhaka-15 constituency in the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election.

A three-member team on behalf of the Jamaat Ameer submitted the nomination papers to Dhaka Regional Election Officer Md. Yunus Ali at the office of the Returning Officer,at the Election Training Institute in Agargaon, in the capital on Monday.

Although Dr. Shafiqur Rahman is a resident of Kulaura upazila in Moulvibazar district, he will contest the election from the Dhaka-15 constituency this time.

According to the schedule announced by the Election Commission, the deadline for submitting nomination papers is today (Monday) at 5:00 pm....
