Dhaka, Jan. 29 -- The students of the Development Studies department at Islamic University in Kushtia have taken position in front of the vice-chancellor's residence on the campus, demanding permanent expulsion of Assistant Professor Hafizul Islam on Tuesday.
The students took out a protest from Bottola and marched through the major road of the campus before taking position in front of the Vice Chancellor's Residence.
During the protest, the students chanted slogans including 'Remove Hafiz, Save the Campus' , 'Punishment or Leave, Punishment, Punishment' , 'We Reject the University's Farce, and No place for Homosexuals on this Campus '.
