Dhaka, July 17 -- Students of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Wednesday blocked Khulna-Kushtia highway as part of the immediate reaction to the attack on NCP leaders at Gopalgonj. During the blockade, huge jams were seen on both sides of the road.
Around a hundred students gathered at the Zia Mor area at around 5:30pm and marched to the main entrance of the campus. Later, they blocked the highway for almost half an hour.
During the protest, students chanted many slogans including, 'Why is my brother injured, Interim, give answer', 'Abu Sayeed-Mugdha, fight is not over yet', 'Down with Mujibism, long live the revolution'.
