Dhaka, Feb. 20 -- The Italian government has reaffirmed its support for the one million Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh by contributing €3 million. The funds will help UNHCR and WFP continue their vital humanitarian assistance in the refugee camps.
The support from Italy is key to promoting refugee rights and well-being, according to a media release.
Of the total amount, €1 million is going to UNHCR's protection interventions, ensuring safe living conditions and access to essential services such as registration, shelter, healthcare, water, sanitation, and hygiene.
