Dhaka, Nov. 6 -- Leaders and activists of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Islami Andolon Bangladesh, Jatiya Ganatantrik Party, and six like-minded parties brought out a procession from the capital's Paltan intersection on Thursday noon to submit a memorandum to the Chief Adviser at his Jamuna residence, demanding a national referendum in November along with four other points.
The march, led by Jamaat Secretary General Mia Golam Porwar, began gathering at Paltan intersection around 10:30am, with leaders and activists from different thanas and wards of Dhaka South carrying banners and festoons. Activists from other Islamic parties also joined the assembly at Paltan.
