Dhaka, Feb. 11 -- A Dhaka court has ordered the issuance of an arrest warrant through Interpol for former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed as first such actions against the deposed autocrat Hasina's allies.
The order was given by Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Zakir Hossain Galib on Monday (February 10), following a request from the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
The directive was issued based on the application from the case's investigating officer, ACC Director Hafizul Islam, with the commission's approval.
