Dhaka, May 24 -- The interim government has vowed to take necessary actions in consultation with the people if any attempts are made to obstruct its duties or disrupt the country's normal functioning.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the Council of Advisers emphasized that the government is committed to upholding the public aspirations of the historic July Uprising, and reiterated its dedication to reform, the judicial process, and ensuring fair elections.

"If the government is hindered from carrying out its responsibilities due to the influence of defeated elements or under the guise of foreign conspiracies, it will make the situation clear to the public and take appropriate decisions," the statement said.
