Dhaka, Jan. 26 -- Inflation in Bangladesh remains persistent as government measures have failed to curb it, experts have observed. Although December recorded a slight reduction in inflation compared to the previous month, the burden of high commodity and service costs continues to affect the people.
The government has undertaken various initiatives, including the implementation of a tight monetary policy, market monitoring, and anti-hoarding and anti-syndication drives, in an effort to control rising inflation and alleviate public distress.
