Dhaka, March 8 -- India has reiterated its support for a stable, peaceful, inclusive, and progressive Bangladesh, emphasising that all issues should be resolved through democratic means and inclusive elections.

Expressing concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in Bangladesh, India has noted that the release of violent extremists convicted of serious crimes has further aggravated tensions.

During a media briefing in New Delhi on Friday, Randhir Jaiswal, the official spokesperson of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), highlighted India's position on the current developments in Bangladesh.
