Dhaka, Nov. 26 -- India on Wednesday said it has received a request from Bangladesh for the extradition of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, stating that the request is being examined. Indian Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal confirmed that the Indian government has received Dhaka's extradition request.

Earlier, Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain said Bangladesh expects an answer from India on its latest request for extradition of convicted former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
