Dhaka, April 4 -- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday reaffirmed that New Delhi places the "highest priority" on its relationship with Dhaka, emphasising that India does not favour any particular political party in Bangladesh.
He made the remark at a bilateral meeting with Bangladesh Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus on the sidelines of the BIMSTEC summit in Bangkok, reports BSS.
Modi said the history of the two neighbours is intricately linked, and it goes back to the birth of Bangladesh.
He said India would always support a progressive, democratic and inclusive Bangladesh.
