Dhaka, Nov. 14 -- Chattogram City Corporation has removed 50 illegal mobile shops in the city's Chawkbazar area and fined various organizations Tk 13,000 for placing goods on the sidewalk outside the shops.
The drive was conducted by Executive Magistrate Moumita Das of the Chattogram City Corporation on Thursday.
According to the mobile court sources, the illegal mobile shops were obstructing the movement of people in Chawkbazar, one of the busiest areas of the city, so the Chattogram City Corporation removed the shops and opened the road for movement. During the drive, the magistrate warned the shopkeepers not to place goods on the sidewalks and roads carelessly and fined several organizations for violating the rules.
