Dhaka, June 16 -- The International Crimes Tribunal-1 (ICT-1) today granted the prosecution an additional one month to submit the investigation report in a case filed over the killing of Abu Sayed in Rangpur during the July-August mass uprising.

The three-judge panel of ICT-1, led by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Mozumder passed the order, allowing a plea of the prosecution.

The court also allowed the investigation agency of the tribunal to interrogate accused former sub-inspector of police Amir Hossain and former constable Sujan Chandra Roy on June 18 and former proctor of Begum Rokeya University Shariful Islam and general secretary of banned Bangladesh Chhatra League's (BCL) varsity wing Imran Chowdhury Akash on June 19.
