Dhaka, Dec. 30 -- Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (retd) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury on Monday asked members of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) to demonstrate maximum professionalism and competence in resolving border issues with neighboring countries to ensure cent percent protection of national interests.

He said this while speaking as chief the guest at the BGB Day-2025 and medal presentation ceremony at BGB Headquarters in Pilkhana, reports BSS.

The Home Adviser emphasized on discipline, training and welfare of the BGB members, and instructed them to remain vigilant against drug trafficking, smuggling and cross-border crimes. He warned of strict legal action against anyone assisting smugglers or traffickers.
