Dhaka, Sept. 13 -- Vegetable prices in the capital's markets have risen somewhat with an average increase by Tk 10 to 20 per kg. At the same time, the price of broiler chicken has also gone up compared to last week. However, hilsa fish is being sold at the same price as before.
Such a scenario was observed on Friday while visiting Kazi Para and Shewrapara markets in the capital.
The market visit revealed that all kinds of vegetables prices have increased by Tk 10 to 20 per kg. Vegetables like ridge gourd, bitter gourd, long beans, eggplant, taro stem, pointed gourd, and snake gourd are being sold at Tk 80 to 100 per kg.
