Dhaka, May 3 -- Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh has launched a grand rally at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital, centering on four major demands. The event was officially inaugurated at 9 AM on Saturday by Md. Nazim Uddin, father of Shaheed Yunus Molla, a victim of the Shapla Chattar incident.
Leaders and activists from across the country have gathered for the mass assembly, with crowds beginning to arrive from early morning.
The organization has put forward four key demands: Dissolution of the Women's Reform Commission and rejection of its report, which they claim contradicts the Qur'an and Sunnah.
