Dhaka, May 22 -- Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) president and retired Colonel Dr. Oli Ahmad on Wednesday alleged that ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina was involved in the assassination of former President Ziaur Rahman.
He made these remarks during an emergency press conference on the ongoing political situation in the capital.
Oli Ahmad said, "India needs a government of their choice in Bangladesh. Their first preferred government was that of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Then, by assassinating President Ziaur Rahman-Hasina was involved in this killing, as I have said before."
