Dhaka, March 23 -- A case has been filed against 431 individuals, including ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and former Minister Obaidul Quader, over an alleged attempted murder of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal activist Zakirul Islam during the July-August mass uprising.

Zakirul lodged the case with Bogura Sadar Police Station on March 16, naming 181 individuals and accusing 250 unnamed others. Confirming the development, the station's Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) stated that further action would follow an investigation.
