Dhaka, Oct. 17 -- The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) has officially appointed actor and youth icon Hania Aamir as its National Goodwill Ambassador for Pakistan.

In her new role, Hania Aamir will serve as a voice for women and girls across the country, leveraging her wide public influence to promote gender equality, women's empowerment, and social inclusion. She will collaborate with UN Women to raise awareness, inspire collective action, and amplify the voices of those often unheard, particularly in areas related to women's economic empowerment, leadership, digital inclusion, and the prevention of gender-based violence.
