Dhaka, April 10 -- Religious Affairs Adviser AFM Khalid Hasan on Wednesday stressed that Hajj must be performed with honestly earned (halal) income, warning that pilgrimage performed with unlawful (haram) earnings will not be accepted.
"People tend to earn money through interest, bribery, and corruption. However, Hajj performed with unlawfully earned money will not be accepted," said the adviser while inaugurating the Hajj Training 2025 programme at Osmani Memorial Hall in the capital.
Quoting a Hadith, Khalid said, "When corrupt individuals, looters, usurers, or bribers arrive at the Holy Haram [Kabah] to declare their arrival before Allah, the angels respond in unison, saying, 'Your arrival has not been accepted.'" He urged all prospect...
