Dhaka, Dec. 15 -- The village home of Sharif Osman Hadi-spokesperson of Inquilab Mancha and a potential independent candidate for Dhaka-8-was burglarized on Friday night in Nalchiti, Jhalokathi. Hadi came into prominence during the July 2024 uprising against the Awami League regime.
The burglary occurred in the Khasmahal area of the town while the house was unoccupied, confirmed Hadi's cousin Sirajul Islam. He said the intruders gained entry by breaking a window. The exact value of the stolen items has not yet been ascertained.
Nalchiti Police Station officer-in-charge Ariful Alam confirmed the incident, saying police had already visited the spot and that those involved would be brought to justice promptly.
