Dhaka, June 1 -- Md Shah Alam, an office assistant of the publication branch Dhaka District Commissioner's office, yesterday testified in a graft case filed against BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and his wife Dr Zubaida Rahman.

Dhaka's Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Mohammad Asaduzzaman recorded the depositions of the witness last afternoon. Later, the court adjourned the hearing of the case till June 1 (Thursday).

Of the 56 witnesses of the case eight testified in the court so far.

Earlier on November 1, of last year, the court issued arrest warrants against the two accused after accepting the charges pressed against them. On February 6, of this year, the court issued a gazette asking the couple to appear in the court.
