Dhaka, July 21 -- The government remains firmly committed to modernizing port management and enhancing operational efficiency through innovative, pragmatic measures, said Shipping Adviser Brigadier General (retd) Dr. M Sakhawat Hussain.

Speaking at a seminar on the Payra Port master plan held in Kuakata on Sunday, Dr. Sakhawat said, "If the master plan is implemented properly, Payra Port will emerge as a major economic hub in the region." His remarks came as part of an official statement.
