Dhaka, April 27 -- Saiful Haque, general secretary of the Biplabi Workers Party, has urged to issue a heat emergency immediately to tackle the worsening situation due to the rising temperatures across Bangladesh.
He also called upon to take a coordinated action.
The government cannot evade responsibility for the rising temperature situation. The families of low-income and day-labourer should be provided with cash and food items.
He delivered the speech as the chief guest at the meeting of the central committee on Friday.
The meeting was held at the central office of the organization at Segunbagicha.
In the meeting, it was decided to observe International Labour Day on May 1 through a rally.
