Dhaka, March 14 -- The interim government has taken initiatives to recruit 2,000 doctors through a special Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination, aiming to combat crisis of doctors in remote areas in the country.
Dr Md Sayedur Rahman, a special assistant to the chief adviser, unveiled the plan on Thursday at a press conference held at the ministry of health and family welfare, reports BSS.
We have already sent letters to the ministry of public administration in this regard, said Dr Sayed, noting that government has also proposed the ministry raise age-bar at 34 years for only doctors to sit for BCS examinations.
