Dhaka, Sept. 23 -- The government today approved a proposal in principle for procuring some 50,000 metric tons (MTs) of gasoline to meet the growing demand for energy.
The approvals came from the 38th meeting of the Advisers Council Committee on Government Purchase (ACCGP) held today at the Cabinet Division Conference Room at Bangladesh Secretariat in the city with Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed in the chair.
Following a proposal from the Energy and Mineral Resources Division, the meeting approved a proposal in principle for importing 50,000 MT of Gasoline 95 Unleaded (Octane) during July to December 2025 from PT Bumi Siak Pusako Zapin (BSP), Indonesia at a cost of Taka 413.44 crore.
