Dhaka, June 18 -- The government approved separate proposals for procuring one cargo of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and 30,000 metric tons (MTs) of fertilizer to meet the country's growing demand.

The approvals came from the 23rd meeting of the Advisers Council Committee on Government Purchase (ACCGP) this year held today at Bangladesh Secretariat with Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed in the chair, reports BSS.

Following a proposal from the Energy and Mineral Resources Division, Petrobangla would procure one cargo LNG from the spot market the following international quotation method from M/S Excelerate Energy LP, USA with around Taka 612.54 crore.
