Dhaka, Sept. 12 -- The Advisory Council has resolved to set up an independent investigation service for Bangladesh Police, aiming to ensure impartial and politically neutral inquiries.
The decision came at Thursday's meeting of the Advisory Council, chaired by Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus at his Tejgaon office, Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam told reporters at a press briefing at the Foreign Service Academy.
"The Advisory Council has approved the creation of an independent police investigation service so that probes can be conducted without political or outside interference," he said.
