Dhaka, Sept. 3 -- The Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase (CCGP) yesterday approved a raft of import proposals worth nearly Tk 2,000 crore, including one cargo of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the spot market and several consignments of fertiliser from multiple countries.
The Energy and Mineral Resources Division proposed the LNG import, which will be sourced from TotalEnergies Gas & Power Ltd of the United Kingdom. The single cargo is priced at Tk 485 crore, with a unit rate of $11.54 per MMBtu, officials said following the meeting.
