Dhaka, March 1 -- Religious Affairs Adviser Dr AFM Khalid Hossain on Friday said the government is undertaking diverse initiatives to promote and develop Islamic culture and values.
He emphasized on encouraging the practice of these values across the country while addressing an award giving ceremony as chief guest, reports BSS.
Islamic Foundation (IF) organized the ceremony of "National Children- Adolescent Islamic Cultural Competition-2025" at the IF auditorium in the capital's Agargaon, said a press release.
The adviser mentioned that in the past, the practice of Islamic cultural was viewed negatively in the country, saying: "No discrimination based on religion should be tolerated."
