Dhaka, Dec. 19 -- The Advisory Council under the chairmanship of Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus on Thursday approved a proposal to establish a new Bangladesh embassy in Bern, the capital of Switzerland. Since independence, Bangladesh has maintained a permanent mission in Geneva, CA Press Wing said.

Despite Bern hosting embassies of most countries, Bangladesh has so far operated both UN-related and embassy functions through its permanent mission in Geneva.
