Dhaka, Dec. 17 -- Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today said the government is extending all necessary cooperation to ensure treatment for ailing BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

"You are aware that the national leader, three-time former Prime Minister, one of the foremost figures of democratic politics of the country and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is currently hospitalized due to illness. This is a matter of concern for all of us," he said while addressing the nation this evening on the occasion of the Victory Day 2025.

The Chief Adviser said the interim government has been giving the issue the highest importance from the very beginning.
