Dhaka, Nov. 15 -- The government has appointed new Deputy Commissioners (DCs) in 23 districts. The Ministry of Public Administration issued two separate notifications on Thursday in this regard transferring one Mohammad Zahidul Islam Miah, DC of Narayanganj to Chattogram and assigning officers of the rank of Deputy Secretary (DS) as DCs in 22 districts.

According to the first notification, Mohammad Zahidul Islam Mian, DC of Narayanganj, has been appointed as DC of Chattogram, while SM Mehedi Hasan, Director (Deputy Secretary) Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre (BPATC), as DC of Lakshmipur; Syeda Nurmahal Ashrafi, Deputy Secretary of the Planning Division, as DC of Munshiganj; Md.
