Dhaka, Oct. 30 -- Religious Affairs Adviser Dr AFM Khalid Hossain said the government is assisting destitute and vulnerable individuals across the country through the Social Services Office on Wednesday.He noted that the government allocates Tk 24 crore annually to purchase medicines for needy patients in medical facilities nationwide.
In Chattogram alone, more than 13,000 children living in orphanages have received financial assistance; while around 97,000 disabled individuals have been supported.
