Dhaka, May 14 -- The Bangladesh Jewelers Association, better known as Bajus from its Bengali acronym, again increased the price of gold, this time by Tk 1562 per bhori from Wednesday.

According to the new prices, that come into effect from Wednesday, the price of a bhori of good quality 22-carat gold will be Tk 169,185, which was sold at Tk 167, 623 per bhori on Tuesday.

The Bajus notification stated that the price of pure gold (acid gold) has increased in the local market. As a result, the new price of gold has been determined considering the overall situation.
