Dhaka, March 7 -- The Special Judge Court-3 of Dhaka on Tuesday set April 24 for hearing in the GATCO graft case against BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and 14 others.

Judge Ali Hossen of the court re-fixed the date allowing a time plea from the defense.

On September 2 of 2007, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed the case against 13 people, including Khaleda Zia and her younger son Arafat Rahman Koko with Tejgaon Model Police Station on the charge of misappropriating Taka 14.56 crore while signing deal with Global Agro Trade (Private) Company Limited (GATCO) for container handling.

The next day, Begum Khaleda Zia and Koko were arrested.
