Dhaka, Sept. 6 -- A new four-lane road costing nearly Tk 2,000 crore is set to be constructed here in the city to ease traffic congestion and improve connectivity.

The proposed road - part of the North South-1 project of the Chattogram Development Authority (CDA) - will stretch 4 kilometers, connecting Tiger Pass-Ambagan Road and Zakir Hossain Road to the Fauzdarhat-Bayezid Link Road.

It will pass by the Asian Women's University and link to Ambagan Road through the Chicken Farm area in Khulshi.
