Dhaka, July 3 -- Former Manikganj-1 lawmaker and ex-director of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), Naimur Rahman Durjoy, was arrested by Manikganj Detective Branch (DB) police during a special operation at his residence in Dhaka's Lalmatia on Wednesday night.
The arrest was confirmed by Rezaul Karim Mallick, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Dhaka Range.
According to a Manikganj DB official, multiple cases are pending against Durjoy, including one related to an alleged attack during the anti-discrimination student movement. He is expected to be produced before the court on Thursday (July 3) following due legal procedures.
