Dhaka, April 21 -- The government on Sunday appointed Mohammad Sufiur Rahman, who served as the Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the UN Offices in Geneva and Ambassador of Bangladesh to Switzerland, as the special assistant to Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus.Sufiur, who also served as Bangladesh High Commissioner to Australia, will hold the rank and status of a State Minister. Besides, he has been given the executive authority of the Ministry of Foreign Ministry to assist the Chief Adviser under the Rules of Business, 1996.
