Dhaka, Aug. 27 -- Authorities at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA), Dhaka have arrested a Guyanese national with 8.5 kilograms of cocaine worth Tk130 crore, marking the largest cocaine seizure in Bangladesh's history.
The suspect, identified as Karen Petula Stuffle, was arrested on Tuesday morning after customs officials, acting on a tip-off, intercepted a Qatar Airways flight from Doha.
According to the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID), Stuffle's luggage was scanned following her arrival at around 2:30am. Officials discovered 22 foil-wrapped packets of cocaine hidden inside three large jars.
