Dhaka, Feb. 24 -- At least fifteen resorts and cottages were gutted in a massive fire which broke out at Sajek, a popular tourist spot in Rangamati's Baghaichhari upazila, on Monday.
The fire broke out in a resort named "Obokash Resort" around 1pm and spread to the adjoining resorts and cottages.
Witnesses said the fire engulfed the Echo Valley Resort, Meghchut Resort, Montana Restaurant, Maruati Restaurant and others.
On information, a team of Army from Baghaihat Zone, BGB members from 27 and 54 battalions rushed to the spot and are trying to bring the fire under control with the help of local people.
However, the origin of the fire could not be known immediately.
