Dhaka, Feb. 23 -- The government has officially declared February 25 as "National Martyred Army Day" to honour the victims of the 2009 Pilkhana massacre, where 74 people, including 57 army officers, were killed.
The Cabinet Division has issued the gazette notification in this regard on Sunday.
The notification said February 25 will be enlisted as a "Ga" category day and to be observed as the National Martyred Army Day every year.
All ministries/ departments/ organisations asked to observe the day in a befitting manner.
