Dhaka, Aug. 25 -- The BNP has issued a show cause notice to its leader Advocate Fazlur Rahman seeking an explanation from him within the next 24 hours why disciplinary actions shall not be taken for making continuous indecent remarks on the July-August mass uprising.

The letter obtained from the party sources said, "You (Fazlur Rahman) have been continuously making indecent and misleading remarks about the historic July-August mass uprising, and the comments you have made regarding the martyrs who sacrificed their lives are completely against the party's ideals and the spirit of the mass uprising.
