Dhaka, Nov. 26 -- Free hybrid rice seeds have been distributed among marginal farmers in Gafargaon, Mymensingh.
On Tuesday , hybrid Boro rice seeds were distributed among 1,300 farmers at the Upazila Parishad Hallroom to increase Boro cultivation and production.
Gafargaon Upazila Nirbahi Officer N. M Abdullah-al-Mamun, Upazila Agriculture Officer Krishibid Shakura Nanmi, Upazila Senior Fisheries Officer Tahmina Khatun, Additional Agriculture Officer Shafat Zaman Panir and others were present at the time.
Agriculture Officer Shakura Nanmi said that as part of the government incentive, 2 kg of hybrid Boro rice seeds have been distributed free of charge among 1,300 farmers to increase Boro cultivation and production.
