Dhaka, March 20 -- The Chitalmari Upazila Agriculture Extension Department distributed summer seeds and fertilizers free of cost among 90 marginal farmers in a ceremony held at the Upazila Agriculture Extension Office premises on Tuesday morning.
As part of the initiative, 50 farmers received 5 kg of mug pulse seeds, 10 kg of DAP fertilizer, and 5 kg of MOP fertilizer each, while 40 farmers were provided with 1 kg of sesame seeds, 10 kg of DAP fertilizer, and 5 kg of MOP fertilizer.
The event was attended by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Tapas Pal, Agriculture Extension Officer Sifat-al-Maruf, Social Service Officer Md. Shohel Parvez, Co-operative Officer Molla Saiful Islam, and Women Affairs Officer Md. Hafizur Rahman.
