Dhaka, Nov. 17 -- BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Sunday called on the authorities to ensure complete and impartial justice as the International Crimes Tribunal prepares to hand down its verdict on Monday in the case against ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and two others.
In a statement posted on his verified Facebook page, Fakhrul wrote, "The International Crimes Tribunal of Bangladesh is set to deliver its verdict today in the case against Sheikh Hasina, who has been charged with five counts of crimes against humanity for the violence and repression that unfolded in Dhaka last year."
"We demand true justice. The nation deserves a trial that is transparent and fair," he added.
