Dhaka, Aug. 29 -- The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has launched an enforcement drive against Professor Dr Sheikh Golam Mostafa, former director of the National Institute of Cancer Research and Hospital (NICRH), over allegations of attempting to buy his way into the interim government as health adviser.

ACC Deputy Director Md Akhtarul Islam confirmed the move on Thursday, saying a special team from the commission's head office is conducting raids at NICRH and other related offices."Dr Mostafa is under investigation for alleged abuse of power, illegal accumulation of wealth, and offering bribes to secure a powerful post through dishonest means.
