Dhaka, Jan. 30 -- A Meherpur court on Thursday placed former public administration minister Farhad Hossain on two-day remand.
Meherpur Senior Judicial Magistrate Sharmim Nahar passed the order when police produced Farhad, also president of the Meherpur district unit of Awami League, before the court.
Earlier on Wednesday night, police took the AL leader to Meherpur jail, reports UNB.
He was also arrested in two cases filed for attacking students during the anti-discrimination movement. A number of cases have been filed against Farhad in Dhaka and Meherpur district after the fall of the AL-led government on August 5.
On September 14, police arrested Farhad from Dhaka's Eskaton area.
