Dhaka, Feb. 5 -- A Narayanganj court on Wednesday ordered former law minister Anisul Huq to be placed on a three-day remand in connection with a murder case.

Narayanganj Senior Judicial Magistrate Md Nur Mohsin passed the order, said Court Police Inspector Kaiyum Khan.

Police produced him before the court with 5-day remand prayer.

Ashik Mia, a worker, was shot to death during the student movement on August 5. Kulsum Begum, Ashik's mother, filed a case with Sonargaon Police Station against 112 identified people including Anisul, former prime minister Sheikh Hasina and Obaidul Quader, and 300 unidentified people.
