At least 149 people have been cheated by investing in a land project of a former police constable. The victims have not yet seen the land or the flat despite buying 38 kathas of land in West Merul Badda, adjacent to Hatirjheel, through a developer company named 'Amar Bari Amar Ghar Limited'.

The investors have raised serious allegations against the company's managing director and former police constable Md. Mashiur Rahman, including land fraud, making fake documents, selling excess shares, extortion and death threats.

The victims made these allegations at a press conference organized at the Crime Reporters Association of Bangladesh (CRAB) auditorium in Segunbagicha in the capital on Saturday morning.
